Francisco Calderon

Bourne in Peru. He was a jockey in the United States for 10 years running in Kentucky, New York, Florida, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. He had many wins during his career! Also, he is a black belt in Tae Kwan Do, first degree. He's been practicing Judo since 1974 in Peru and in the United States since 1978. He earned his black belt in 1980 with the Master, Lou Moyerman, and he has come in 1st and 2nd in the Green and Black Belt Companions. Francisco started competing in the Nationals and won in FL in the late 1980's. He went to the World Master's Judo Championship in Canada and has achieved 1st and 2nd place titles. He competed in Austria in 2002 and finished 2nd in the World Masters. Most recently, he competed in France in 2004 (2nd place). He has sustained some minor injuries and has stopped competing. However, he continues to train on a weekly basis at the Liberty Bell Judo Club, which is the best Dojo Club in the Northeast. He hopes to inspire yound people to start Judo and to never stop.
