Lou
started judo at the age of 12, receiving his
black belt when he was 19. Lou trained with
and coached Temple University Judo Team during
late 60s and early 70s. At the time, The Temple
U. team was ranked as one of the best in the
USA and even produced a 1976 Olympic Team member,
Joe Bost. Since then Lou has participated in
a large number of competitions and coached a
variety of different USA and Maccabiah teams.The
highlight of his judo career came in 2000, when
he was offered the Team Leader position for
USA Olympic Judo Team. Presently, Lou spends
his time coaching at Liberty Bell Judo/Sambo
